Hill stations around Mumbai range from well known and very popular resorts such as Mahabaleshwar, Lonavla, Khandala and Matheran, to small places where hill life has still not been too influenced by visitors. All hill stations are very popular during the summer holidays.

From the plateau in Mahabaleshwar, there is a spetacular view of the surrounding countryside and it is a very popular location with film crews.
